Steam Turbine Design Engineer will be responsible for delivering ST module design engineering activities by leveraging strong domain expertise and relevant experience with a consistent focus on quality, accuracy, and execution excellence. Develops and enhances RPDM training resources to strengthen team capability, standardization, and onboarding effectiveness. Collaborates across teams and functions to ensure seamless execution of engineering deliverables and drive continuous process improvement. Responsible for technical follow-up with vendors and making sure that equipment and systems are delivered with highest level of quality, on-time and with full compliance to codes and standards and contract requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities
Design & Detailing of various steam turbine components like HP, IP, LP modules, casings, bearing pedestals and bearings, rotors, blades, diaphragms, couplings etc
Prepare relevant design and quality documentation and layouts using CATIA in accordance with appropriate standards and design rules
Define material specifications for various steam turbine component
Carry out necessary calculations and analysis related to these components (using company software, spreadsheets or hand calculations)
Collect, analyze and provide resolution on technical data from vendor, site or customer.
Collaborate with global & cross-functional team of internal Steam Turbine Engineers and external stakeholders (Drafting/Global Supply Chain) enabling & fostering mutual technical growth and delivering for our customers
Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
