ACES Chase Academy, a Magnet Schools of America National School of Excellence, is seeking a dynamic, student-centered 8th Grade STEAM Teacher to join our magnet school community. This position is designed for an educator who is passionate about project-based learning, interdisciplinary instruction, and helping students make meaningful connections across science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. The ideal candidate will create engaging learning experiences that challenge students to think critically, solve authentic problems, collaborate effectively, and communicate their ideas with confidence.
The successful candidate will design and facilitate rigorous, hands-on learning experiences that integrate STEAM concepts and promote creativity, inquiry, and innovation. This teacher will work collaboratively with colleagues to support the school’s magnet theme and help students apply their learning in relevant, real-world contexts. A strong commitment to middle grades learners, relationship-building, and high expectations for all students is essential.
Preferred certification: Mathematics, 4–12 (029) or Mathematics, Middle School, 4–8 (229)

Qualifications

Qualifications include:
- Appropriate Connecticut teaching certification related to STEAM, mathematics certification (029, 229) preferred
- Experience with or strong interest in project-based learning
- Commitment to interdisciplinary STEAM instruction
- Ability to create engaging, student-centered classroom experiences
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and the success of all learners
