Join Tetra Tech as Statutory Finance Director, Ireland and Lead Financial Strategy, Governance and Growth for a €80m Consultancy Business. This Dublin-based opportunity combines statutory directorship, financial stewardship, commercial leadership and strategic influence in a multidisciplinary, project-led organisation.
As Statutory Finance Director, Ireland, you will lead financial stewardship, governance and strategic support for the Republic of Ireland business within Consulting UK & Ireland. As one of three Statutory Directors on a six-member Irish Board, you will help ensure financial performance, risk management, statutory compliance and investment decisions support sustainable success.
Working with the Managing Director, Irish leadership team and Group finance colleagues, you will lead three direct reports and a wider accounts function of eight. You will support approximately 600 employees across an €80m consultancy business, operating in Euro and Sterling across diverse projects and sectors, while collaborating with Irish, UK and Group stakeholders.
Initially, you can establish trusted Board-level relationships, take ownership of finance operations and strengthen confidence in reporting, forecasting, governance and commercial decisions.
As you become established, your impact could include improving visibility of cost, margin, cash and project performance; supporting pricing, bid and investment decisions; and helping teams manage commercial risks and opportunities across major infrastructure and consultancy projects. Success may be demonstrated through stronger profitability, cash generation, resource utilisation, forecasting accuracy and decision quality.
Over time, you could shape the financial direction of the Irish business as it works towards €100m turnover, strengthen organisational resilience and develop a high-performing finance function that supports sustainable growth.
· You will bring the technical authority and balanced judgement required to operate as a Statutory Director in a regulated corporate environment. Your expertise will span financial reporting, statutory accounting, taxation, financial controls and governance, underpinned by strong knowledge of FRS 102/Irish GAAP, IFRS and corporate compliance obligations. You will maintain high standards of integrity and transparency, ensuring decisions are informed by reliable analysis, appropriate control and sound consideration of financial and corporate risk.
· You will translate complex financial information into clear commercial insight for Board members, senior leaders and project teams. This includes providing constructive challenge, evaluating risks and opportunities, and influencing project performance, pricing, bids, investment and resource utilisation. Your commercial judgement will help leaders understand the financial consequences of their choices and balance disciplined performance management with the organisation’s sustainable growth ambitions.
· You will protect and enable the business through effective risk oversight, statutory compliance and sound corporate governance. Drawing on experience within a multinational or PLC-style environment, you will identify emerging risks, assess potential impact and provide trusted advice to senior stakeholders. Your understanding of delegated authority frameworks, corporate controls and regulatory requirements will support timely, well-governed decisions while enabling the business to pursue its commercial objectives responsibly.
· You will operate confidently within enterprise-scale corporate finance systems while identifying practical opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, reporting quality and financial visibility. Your process improvement and transformation experience will help remove friction, establish more effective ways of working and provide decision-makers with clearer, more useful information. You will balance corporate process discipline with operational needs so finance remains responsive as the consultancy continues to grow.
· You will lead and develop an established finance team while building trusted relationships across Ireland, the wider UK business and Group functions. Clear communication, collaborative leadership and organisational influence will be central to your success. You will challenge constructively, build consensus and strengthen capability, accountability and high performance. Credibility, emotional intelligence and sound judgement will help you form lasting relationships with stakeholders at every level.
You must be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant through ACA, ACCA or an equivalent recognised qualification, with substantial post-qualification experience at Finance Director level in a comparably complex business. Board interaction, sophisticated corporate or multinational experience, and strong knowledge of FRS 102/Irish GAAP, IFRS, taxation, statutory reporting, financial governance and compliance are essential.
Previous Statutory Director experience is desirable. Experience in engineering, consulting, infrastructure, professional services or another project-based environment, plus exposure to PLC or multinational governance and enterprise-scale finance systems, would be advantageous.
The role is based in Dublin, with regular office presence. Hybrid working is available once established, and occasional travel may be required for stakeholder engagement, operational activity and wider business objectives.
