Equitable is looking for a Statutory and Finance Strategy Analyst. The Statutory Balance Sheet Analytics Team serves as a key leader within in the Treasury, responsible for capital and free cashflow projections, analysis and attribution, and the support of strategic initiatives that affect capital. We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented talent to join our team and reporting to Head of Capital Forecasting. In this role, you will support key capital forecasting activities, assist with balance sheet management tasks, and contribute to maintaining a strong and sustainable capital position for the company. You will work closely with partners across Actuarial, Accounting, Investments, and various business teams to gather data, run analyses, and help prepare materials for management.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Assist in updating and maintaining the company's capital and free ‑ cash ‑ flow projection models.
  • Support analyses of capital impacts related to various business activities (e.g., reinsurance arrangements, product changes, asset transactions).
  • Help prepare routine capital projection materials used in planning cycles and internal reviews.
  • Contribute to asset ‑ liability management efforts by gathering data, running reports, and monitoring key balance ‑ sheet metrics.
  • Prepare clear and organized presentation materials and reports for internal teams and senior leaders.
  • Assist with documentation and materials used for communications with external parties, including regulators and rating agencies.
  • Stay up to date on internal guidelines and support the team in tracking changes to relevant regulatory capital requirements.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with an on-site presence of 2-3 days per week combining flexibility with team collaboration.

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $104,000 . Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

What You Will Bring

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
  • 1 years of experience in life insurance, capital management, actuarial modeling, ALM or risk management.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of investment accounting and financial assets.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Python/VBA or other coding languages.
