Job Title: Statistical Science Director
AstraZeneca is a global, science-led, patient-focused pharmaceutical company that focuses on the research, development, and commercialisation of prescription medicines. We aim to transform the lives of patients with improved outcomes and a better quality of life. But we’re more than one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies. At AstraZeneca, we're dedicated to being a Great Place to Work.
It is an exciting time to join AstraZeneca Oncology. Are you ready to lead statistical strategy that accelerates life-changing medicines to patients? Could you shape how science and data come together to inform bold decisions across global programs? This is your opportunity to drive statistical excellence where it has immediate and tangible impact on development turning points and patient outcomes.
As a Statistical Director, you will be responsible for the supervision and development of Bangalore based associates, provide strategic statistical leadership on complex, high-visibility programs, uniting cross-functional teams to deliver robust evidence that stands up to scientific and regulatory scrutiny. You will harness modern methodologies and models to reveal clear signals from complex data, guiding decisive action throughout the drug development lifecycle. Here, your expertise not only sets scientific direction but also improves the pace, quality, and integrity of decisions that matter.
When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines. In-person working gives us the platform we need to connect, work at pace and challenge perceptions. That's why we work, on average, a minimum of three days per week from the office. But that doesn't mean we're not flexible. We balance the expectation of being in the office while respecting individual flexibility. Join us in our unique and ambitious world.
At AstraZeneca, you will join a community that blends scientific rigor with data-driven curiosity to push beyond the status quo. We bring diverse minds together to solve complex problems, using advanced methodologies and technology to generate evidence that changes the course of diseases. Your work will be visible across global therapy areas, recognized internally and externally, and supported by leaders who empower initiative and continuous learning. We balance ambition with kindness, encourage constructive challenge, and value the courage it takes to navigate uncertainty—so that your leadership turns insights into decisions that benefit patients worldwide.
Step into a role where your statistical leadership shapes pivotal decisions, advances innovative therapies, and accelerates meaningful outcomes for patients and your career.
