This is a unique opportunity to become Coloplast's first dedicated statistical programmer and help strengthen our capabilities across our clinical evidence activities.
Welcome to the Evidence & Clinical Strategies team
You will join our high-performing team of project managers, biostatisticians, real-world evidence managers and medical writers. The department is part of Payers & Evidence within Chronic Care Commercial. We define the clinical pipeline, and strategic evidence plans and generate a broad range of pre- and post-market clinical evidence to support product development, regulatory and reimbursement requirements, and market uptake.
Your role
We are looking for a statistical programmer with strong hands-on programming experience in clinical research, who can quickly become a trusted partner to our biostatisticians, real-world evidence managers, and data managers. As the statistical programmer expert in our team, we are looking for someone who can work independently, quality-oriented, and detail-focused to provide expert guidance, and help establish best practices for programming.
You bring positive energy, a curious mindset, and a genuine can-do attitude to a collaborative team environment. You will support pre- and post-market clinical evidence activities – from traditional clinical investigations to post-market clinical follow-up surveys, registry-based real-world evidence studies, and market research surveys.
While SAS programming for clinical investigations will be the primary focus of this position, you will also contribute to real-world evidence projects in our Databricks environment using Python/PySpark, supporting Coloplast's ambition to further develop our real-world evidence capabilities and leverage diverse data sources to generate high-quality clinical evidence and insights. Together with the team, you will play an active role in building and maturing this growing area.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
• Support biostatisticians and real-world evidence managers with data preparation and development, validation, and maintenance of SAS programs for our clinical evidence activities.
• Create analysis datasets, tables, listings and figures.
• Develop efficient and reusable programming solutions, macros, and standards.
• Perform quality control and validation of programming deliverables.
• Contribute to Statistical Analysis Plans and data presentation activities.
• Support data managers with database quality activities and user acceptance testing.
• Ensure that programming activities comply with applicable regulatory expectations and internal quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and help establish programming processes, standards, and ways of working within Evidence & Clinical Strategies.
What you bring:
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree, in life sciences, natural sciences, engineering, or equivalent qualifications.
• 2-3 years of programming experience, ideally using SAS, combined with experience working with biological data or equivalent expertise gained through relevant practical experience.
• Experience with Python/PySpark is considered an advantage.
• Solid understanding of clinical investigation data structures, and experience with CDISC standards (STDM, ADaM) is an advantage.
• Experience with producing analysis datasets, tables, listings, and figures.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across professional borders.
• Strong analytical skills combined with independence, self-drive, and accountability in managing variable workloads.
• Good communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English, and the ability to explain technical issues to both peers and stakeholders.
