General:
- Perform site maintenance functions, including preventative maintenance, machine repair, and fabrication tasks. Maintain steam and hot water boilers, air compressors, and auxiliary equipment. Working at multiple locations of manufacturing operations and offices within Hanover and Anne Arundel Counties. Respond to emergency calls related to mechanical and electrical systems of Boilers and Air Compressors. Enforces food safety standards, GMPs, and maintains a sanitary work environment.
Position Description:
Performs any combination of (but not limited to) the following duties:
- Perform boiler chemical testing; record results; and makes necessary chemistry adjustments. Must perform daily and weekly safety checks on boilers and make repairs as needed.
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment problems.
- Manage and handle chemicals and hazardous chemical training. Facilitate the acid scrubber regeneration process when required.
- Completion of daily maintenance activities and ensure records properly processed.
- Ensure requisitions for used parts are processed, shop work, storage areas, tools and equipment are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
- Coordination with outside vendors (Fire/Security, Mobile equipment, Electrical, etc.) along with maintenance activities.
- Must comply with all food safety, and general safety laws and regulations.
QualificationsEducation &
Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have an experience working with Plant safety, GPM’s & OSHA
- Must be able to utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System
- Must have Basic computer skill and Microsoft office required.
- Must have valid driver license, with clean records
- Must exhibit a professional attitude at all times
- Preferred to own basic maintenance tools & equipment for mechanical repair, fabrication with mechanical installation skills
- Preferred experience in Industrial process equipment’s conveyors, bucket elevators, metal Detector, shaker screen, hammer mills and scale operations.
- Preferred skill in welding including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, soldering and brazing.
- Preferred Two-year technical trades certification or at least 3-4 years of experience
- Preferred to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
