The Station Officer oversees the operations of the Airport Emergency Services (AES) to ensure a high level of emergency response readiness. The role involves managing personnel and resources to guarantee immediate and effective action during incidents, ensuring full compliance with Health and Safety regulations, General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) licensing standards, and airport policies and procedures.
The Station Officer exercises strong command and control during emergency situations, applies national and local emergency protocols, and maintains a safe, disciplined working environment. The role also supports staff welfare, training, and development while contributing to emergency planning, audits, and continuous improvement of AES operations.
