Job Description

Envirotest is a proud subsidiary of Opus Inspection, the worldwide provider of vehicle emissions testing equipment and services. Our mission: to make the world a cleaner and safer place by providing highly effective solutions for vehicle inspection through innovative technologies, customer focus and operational excellence. Our Station Manager oversees the daily operations of our emissions station while creating a safe and customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of emission stations to ensure compliance with Envirotest’s policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Interview, hire, onboard, and assist with the training of new employees, giving continuous coaching, feedback, and support.
  • Supervise and assign tasks to employees to ensure the efficiency of the station.
  • Create employee schedules to ensure proper staffing for station based on forecasted customer traffic and operational needs.
  • Ensure emission inspections are conducted accurately and efficiently to minimize customer wait times.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly operation activities.
  • Manage inventory of supplies around the station.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance, including groundskeeping, snow removal, janitorial upkeep and painting.
  • Promote a culture of safety by leading the station’s Safety Program to ensure the safety of both employees and customers.
  • Complete administrative paperwork related to station’s operations and finances
  • Conduct emissions tests as needed to maintain compliance with customer wait time expectations.
  • Additional duties as assigned by District or Operations Manager.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field is desirable
  • Previous customer service and cash-handling experience required
  • Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent organization skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to express and exchange ideas verbally and in writing

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to enter and exit vehicles, 50-80% of the time
  • Frequent standing, bending, reaching, pulling and stooping, up to 90% of the time
  • Ability to withstand exposure to extreme heat and cold weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs
