About our Team:
As the Station Assistant you will join a team a small team where you’ll provide exceptional customer service and general cleaning duties to keep the Gladstone Train Station looking its best.
Purpose that Counts. As a Station Assistant some of your duties will include:
• Assisting customers and handling luggage
• Operating station machinery and equipment
• General cleaning and maintenance duties of the station (including the gardens) and bathroom facilities

Roles / Hours:
Permanent full-time position based at Gladstone Station.
Shifts are generally between the hours of 01:00 to 00:00 (midnight) where you will work on a rotating roster that will consist of a variety of start and finish times and will include weekends and public holidays. This role is part of a four-week rotating link which provides vision of future work to plan around however you can expect to work every Saturday and every second Sunday.

We are seeking to connect with someone who will have:
• The ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong communication and customer focus
• The ability to perform manual tasks, including cleaning and lifting luggage up to 20kg
• Previous cleaning or garden maintenance experience is desirable but not essential
• The ability to work night shifts and be flexible with their hours
• Be prepared to travel within your position when required (e.g. for training)
• A Safety-focused mindset
