Job Description


Area 1:


Area 1: Lead the coordination of facility-based implementation of the
IntegratE Project 2.0 in his / her Focal State


1.

Coordinate
the roll out and implementation of the tiered accreditation for PPMVs in his /
her State of assignment.


2.

Facilitate the conduct of facility
baseline assessment and sites selection in his /
her focal State.


3.

Work with SMOH, PCN, ACPN, NAPPMED,
LSMDA and Consortium Partners to review site and facility assessment results,
develop project implementation plan in his / her focal State.


4.

Support
in the capacity building of providers through training of trainers (TOT) in the
areas of family planning and other service areas of the IntegratE 2.0 and
mentoring of trained providers in his / her focal State.


5.

Coordinate
to ensure linkage between community intervention and the service delivery
points as well as the public sector referral facilities in his / her focal State.


6.

Monitor
commodity supply and ensure that consortium partners meet FP and other service
areas commodity demand at the service delivery points in his / her focal State.


7.

Maintain
a good relationship with the facility owners and ensure their continuous
commitment and support to the project in his / her focal State.


Area 2:
Area 2: Lead community level advocacy, partnership and mobilization for
effective project implementation.


1.
Participate
in advocacy activities to community leaders, state MOH and relevant
stakeholders to ensure acceptability, visibility and enabling operating
environment in his / her focal State.

Equip and deploy trained IPCAs for
community mobilization to achieve effective implementation of IPC in mapped
communities in his / her focal State.


3
Support
each IPCA to reach number of targeted persons monthly through IPC activities
and referrals in his / her focal State.

Supervise
and monitor all IPCAs and mentor IPCA by building skill on effective
communication in his / her focal State.


5
Conduct
quarterly review meetings with IPCAs for program update, feedback and plan for
future activities in his / her focal State.


6
Conduct
innovative locality specific mobilization activities targeted at men to achieve
male involvement in family planning issues in the community of intervention
every quarter in his /her focal State.


Area
3: Support in capacity building and FP and other Service Area update training during
staff orientation


With
support from the Regional Program Manager and the Project Director organise
competency – based trainings and refresher trainings on FP and other service
areas.


  1. Support the National team to conduct capacity
    assessment for PCN, ACPN, APMEV and monitor capacity building activities
    to bridge identified gap

  2. Lead the SFH component of the training of
    providers based on the approved training manual

  3. Identify
    and train IPCAs from mapped communities using approved criteria

  4. Support other consortium partners to plan and
    monitor training of providers in the state.

  5. Conduct continuous Supervisory Support Visits
    (SSVs) and on the job coaching to service delivery points in the state.


Area
4: Work with other consortium partners to provide evidence-based
information to inform the design and implementation of the project

.


1.

Conduct
routine monitoring and supervision to service delivery points and communities.


2.

Coordinate,
participate and provide support for research activities in the state.


3.

Contribute
to the development of communication materials through making inputs from the
community perspectives during development.


4.
Maintain
a data base of community mobilization and family planning services provided at
supported pharmacies and PPMVs.


5.
Ensure
adequate deployment of relevant IEC materials in the community of intervention.


Area 5: Facilitate Documentation and
other administrative responsibilities at the State level


1.

Prepare and submit monthly,
quarterly and annual reports of project activities to the Project Director.


2.
Articulate and develop human
interest/success stories from project sites.


3.
Retire all advance and ensure that
partners comply with SFH policies in all financial transactions.


Attending to other duties that may be assigned
by the
National Project Director and/or SFH
management.


Requirements


Minimum
Academic/Professional Qualifications required for the position:


-
S/he must possess a
degree in Nursing/Midwifery, Pharmacy, or any of the biological sciences.


-
A Postgraduate degree
in Public Health or social works will be an advantage.


Minimum Working
Experience required:


-
Candidates must
have a minimum of 5yrs post qualification experience in program management,
training and managing Family planning, Maternal and Child health programs
especially in the private health sector.
