What you´ll do

  • The State & Local Income / Francise Tax Senior is an experienced tax professional who is responsible for state income / franchise tax compliance, audits, and quarterly tax provisions.
  • Manage the preparation, review and timely filing of state income and franchise tax returns.
  • Manage and/or assist with quarterly tax provisions along with the calculation of the state effective tax rate and state current and deferred tax attributes.
  • Manage the state tax notice process and assign roles / responsibilities among the team weekly.
  • Manage the preparation, review and filing of state estimated tax payments and extensions.
  • Maintain and monitor the Tax Due Date Calendar for all state income tax filings.
  • Coordinate annual report information requested periodically from legal department.
  • Gather information / documentation for state income & franchise tax audits.
  • Review work of tax staff based in the US and Philippines along with training and developing members of the Tax Department.
  • Assist with special projects, planning, and management responsibilities.
  • Assist with federal income tax items as needed or other potential federal projects.

What makes you a good fit

  • BS / BA in Business / Accounting. MS in Accounting or Tax a Plus.
  • 2-5 years of corporate multi-state and federal tax experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of multi-state tax law and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, articulate, and results oriented person.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Detail oriented individual who takes ownership of projects.
  • Strong digital skills (Advanced Excel, Sharepoint, OneNote, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of CorpTax tax preparation software a plus.

The salary range for this role is $85,000.00 and $105,000.00. This range represents the good‑faith minimum and maximum wages the Company reasonably expects to offer for this role at the time of posting. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for incentive pay or other forms of compensation, as applicable. The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package as described above. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, experience, education, training, and work location.
