About the Role

Due to our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity now available for a talented leader to grow & guide our Queensland Government & Advisory Vertical.

The State Director will drive market expansion, develop key client relationships, oversee project delivery excellence, and create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional development.

You will foster a positive and productive relationship with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth and timely outcomes of business priorities.

By leveraging Opteon's reputation, geographic coverage, valuer expertise and relationships (existing & future), you will continuously improve and innovate our Valuations service to further expand our market share and grow your team. You will establish strong leadership and operational rhythms and will lead and implement projects across the regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Queensland growth strategy for the Government vertical
  • Drive and exceed the state’s Gross Margin while ensuring Valuers meet financial targets.
  • Develop and execute a targeted State Business Development Plan to grow revenue through strategic initiatives, client relationship management and market leading performance.
  • Achieving your personal fee write minimum threshold.
  • Lead and implement key business projects and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Build and support a high-performing team, delivering exceptional customer value through market-leading performance (Turnaround times, Quality, Seamless customer experience).
  • Foster an engaged, inclusive, and high-morale culture, with a strong focus on coaching, mentoring, communication, and team development.
  • Consistently role model Opteon’s values, promoting a positive image to both our clients and internal teams.

About You

This is a great opportunity for a driven professional with highly developed valuation knowledge and outstanding operational and leadership skills.

You will also have:

  • A Degree in Business/Commerce or equivalent qualifications
  • Certified Practising Valuer (CPV) or equivalent professional accreditation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large teams and business units with a proven track record of delivering on large property portfolio projects and delivering significant revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of Queensland Government procurement and contracting environments.
  • Established network across government and property sector with knowledge of QLD geographical areas
  • An agile and innovative work ethic with an ability to create and deliver new solutions, ideas or methods
