Our team manages every one of these locations, and we work together with our business units on all thing’s property, from site acquisition through to asset management.
Take ownership of construction delivery across Queensland, leading a diverse program of store renewals and new space projects across the Coles network.
As State Construction Manager, you’ll have the autonomy to shape delivery, lead an experienced team of three Project Managers and influence senior stakeholders across Property and Operations.
With a highly visible portfolio and projects spanning metropolitan and regional Queensland, you’ll see the impact of your work across our stores, customers and teams. You’ll also enjoy a flexible mix of office, site and home-based working.

• Lead and support the Project Managers to deliver the new store fitouts and end to end renewal projects safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality.
• Partner across Store Development, Design, Leasing and Quantity Surveying to support program planning, cost forecasting and value engineering.
• Oversee resourcing, detailed design, tendering and contractor appointments across the program.
• Partner with developers, builders, contractors and other external parties.
• Drive continuous improvement across cost, time, quality, safety and compliance.
• Provide direction through complex project and delivery challenges.
You’ll bring construction or project management experience, ideally gained within retail, QSR, big-box environments or client-side project management.
• Proven experience leading teams and delivering multiple capital works or development projects.
• Strong experience delivering redevelopment, refurbishment and fit-out projects within live operating environments.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including cost planning and budget management.
• Working knowledge of construction contracts, project governance and compliance requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
• A collaborative, proactive and results-focused leadership style.
