UCLA is one of the nation’s leading public research universities, known for academic excellence, innovation, and a commitment to public service. Supporting an institution of UCLA’s size and complexity requires navigating an increasingly dynamic regulatory environment—and that is where the UCLA Compliance Office plays an important role.
Part of the Office of the Chancellor, the Compliance Office provides guidance and oversight to support ethical practices and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and University of California policies. Within the Compliance Office, the State Authorizations Office works across the institution to address regulatory requirements related to distance education, physical presence, professional licensure and certification, and international educational activities.

From monitoring authorization requirements across U.S. jurisdictions to strengthening professional licensure disclosures and supporting international compliance, your work will help UCLA identify risk early and build sustainable approaches to compliance.
This role offers a high degree of independence and the opportunity to influence how a complex university responds to a rapidly changing regulatory landscape.
