There is an immediate opening for an Assistant State Attorney to work in the State Attorney’s Office Public Records Unit The position is responsible for reviewing requests for public records, determining which records are deemed public record and redacting any exempt and/or confidential information therefrom pursuant to Federal and State law. Applicants should have experience with the criminal justice system, preferably with some experience with felony cases. Candidates must have demonstrated their ability to work independently, and to be detail oriented with a high level of quality and accuracy in their work. Candidates must possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, an ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, an ability to effectively work under pressure, and be able to meet deadlines, be adaptable to change, and be computer literate. Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, as well as good people skills are all necessary skills for this position. Membership in the Florida Bar is required.
