Job Description

Description

Working at Shared Practices Group means being part of a dynamic work environment where

each one of our employees has the opportunity to make a difference. We love what we do, and

it shows.

Shared Practices Group (SPG) is one of the fastest-growing dental implant organizations in the

country, with over 40 practices across the U.S. focused on dentures and implant dentistry. Our

mission is simple: expand access to life-changing full-arch care so more patients can get the

smile, health, and confidence they deserve.

You’ll be joining an energetic, high-performing, and tight-knit team that truly lives the Team First

mindset. We take care of our practice teams so they can focus on what matters most—taking

exceptional care of our patients.

The Startup Regional Manager at SPG is responsible for leading the successful launch of

every new practice. This role focuses on building a strong operational and cultural foundation

during the critical first 6–9 months of a practice’s life cycle before it is transitioned to a

permanent Regional Manager.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for a dynamic leader who thrives in fast-paced

environments. You’ll ensure that every new practice hits its operational milestones, builds a

cohesive team, and establishes best-in-class processes from day one. If you love building

something from the ground up and seeing it succeed, this role was made for you.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own the Launch – Oversee the operational launch of every new practice, ensuring full

readiness prior to opening day

• Partner with central departments (Finance, Marketing, Clinical) to coordinate build-out,

staffing, onboarding, and technology implementation

• Establish operational systems, standardized processes, and SPG playbooks from day

one at each new location

• Build the Team – Recruit, onboard, and coach Practice Operations Managers (POMs)

and Smile Consultants (SCs) for each start-up practice

• Foster a strong culture of accountability, performance, and team-first mentality from the

very beginning

• Drive Early Performance – Ensure new practices meet initial financial, operational, and

patient care targets during the ramp-up period

• Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) including collections per new

patient, close rate, show rate, and financing efficiency

• Be On the Ground – Conduct frequent site visits to train staff and verify compliance with

SPG operational standards

• Execute the Handoff – Ensure a seamless transition to the permanent Regional

Manager once the 6–9 month startup period concludes

KEY OUTCOMES ARE MEASURED BY:

• Timely and successful practice launches

• Collections per New Patient (NP)

• Smile Consultant Close Rates

• Arches Accepted per Practice

• Financing Efficiency

• Patient Show Rate

• Team retention during the start-up period

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The person we are looking for is a builder at heart. They thrive in the controlled chaos of

launching something new and find energy in turning a blank canvas into a high-performing

operation. They lead with urgency and empathy, knowing that a strong start sets the tone for

everything that follows. They are organized, decisive, and relentless in execution—because

they understand that the first 6–9 months of a practice’s life determine its trajectory.

THE SPG STANDARD:

This role is for people who want to be great and want their work to mean something. We’re

building a world-class organization, and we’re looking for leaders who:

• Take ownership of every launch like it’s their own business

• Thrive in coaching and developing new teams

• Execute with discipline and follow through on every detail

• Lead with integrity and a team-first mindset

• Follow our core values

• Care deeply about building something that lasts

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• 5+ years in multi-site operations, preferably in dental, healthcare, or start-up

environments

• Proven ability to lead start-up or launch initiatives successfully from the ground up

• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills with a track record of developing

high-performing teams

• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-change environments with multiple priorities

• Experience with KPI management and early-stage performance ramp-up

• Highly organized with strong computer skills and the ability to manage competing

timelines

• Willingness to travel frequently for site visits and new practice launches

• Experience with Open Dental, Practice by Numbers (PBN), Monday.com, or similar

platforms is a plus

WHAT WE OFFER:

• Competitive salary + performance-based bonuses

• Full healthcare benefits: medical, dental, vision

• Company-paid life insurance

• 401(K)

• Paid holidays, vacation, and sick time

• Travel reimbursement for site visits

• Leadership development and career growth opportunities

• A culture that values innovation, ownership, and patient-centric care
