JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Standard Products Test/Service Technician who will work in our Standard Products Department. The Standard Products Test/Service Technician will test, service, and calibrate Phenix/Doble equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Independent analysis and repair of high voltage, high current test equipment.
• Troubleshoot system faults on relay, PLC, and microprocessor-controlled equipment.
• Remove and replace system components to accomplish repair.
• Verify system operations and calibration after service.
• Conduct calibration and preventative maintenance service.
• Use voltage and current supplies, kilovolmeters, multi-meters, potential transformers, current transformers, and other equipment to calibrate high voltage, high current test equipment.
• Perform preventative inspection and basic lubrication of equipment.
• Create and provide quotations for stock and custom parts, and services.
• Communicate with customers as needed to assist with troubleshooting, repair, operation, and maintenance of high voltage, high current test equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

• High School diploma or GED
• Education or certification(s) in related field preferred
• Experience in lieu of education.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronics or related field
• Proper use of electrical test equipment to include oscilloscopes, multi-meters, signal generators
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to follow directions
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word & Excel
• Troubleshooting

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (Not Required):

• Soldering
• Interpreting Schematics
• Mechanical aptitude
• Manual dexterity

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Detail oriented
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, climb step ladders, file paperwork, and use telephones. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job. Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds.

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.

Hourly Pay Range Minimum $23.40 - Midpoint $29.25
