JOB SUMMARY

A Standard Products Supervisor at Doble Engineering will be responsible for managing the workflow and overseeing the other members of the department. This role will also develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Additional duties include making recommendations and implementing improvements to wiring processes and methods. This role is located at Doble’s Accident, Maryland facility and reports to the Standard Products Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Maintains a safe and clean work environment
• Directly manage a team in Standard Products
• Ensure the quality of workmanship
• Instruct, review and guide the team and correct problems and answers questions from team members
• Provide training for new employees
• Evaluate Staff performance; prepare and conduct employee performance reviews
• Reviews, drawings, instructions, prints or samples to ensure accurate production
• Reviews scheduling of department need from production with Manufacturing Manager, production team, and Senior Projects Manager
• Ensures production flow by setting daily job priorities within overseen areas
• Orders required materials for department operation
• Conserves materials by minimizing waste
• Ensures all Team Members are working safely and efficiently
• Performs other duties as requested by management
• Manage employee time sheets, including time off and timecard approval
• Assists and participates in lean projects, per production needs
• Assists with opening new production orders in Business Central (BC) for the team to work on
• Assists with putting units in stock and closing production orders in BC
• Works closely with Standard Products Manager and fills in at meetings when the manager is unavailable

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Additional experience in addition to minimum level of education

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• 4-8 years of experience
• Industrial wiring knowledge
• Experience working with electromechanical
• Leadership experience within a production environment

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (Not Required):

• LEAN process knowledge
• Development of documented process control, job instructions and standard operating procedures
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Working knowledge of safety protocols
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced team environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job. Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds. Must use assistance when lifting 50 or more pounds.

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.

Hourly Pay Range Minimum $31.37 - Midpoint $39.21
