The Die Process Engineer is responsible for developing, validating, and optimizing die processes from early studio concept through production launch. This role ensures that die construction, engineering changes, quality improvements, buyoff activities, and tooling throughput meet program objectives. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams—including stamping, product engineering, quality, assembly, and external suppliers—to deliver high‑quality panels and robust tooling performance.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Minimum 10 years of die experience with demonstrated expertise in die process, die design, and/or die feasibility.
Strong understanding of press operations, including Blanking, Front-of-Line, bolsters, End-of-Line, MLM, and die automation
systems such as crossbar, tri-axis, and tandem.
Solid knowledge of draw and line die operations, cam design, formability principles, and process optimization.
Understanding of coil blanking, nesting, and material procurement.
Ability to read and interpret Forming Simulation, GD&T, FLD, and CMM reports to drive corrective actions.
Excellent communication skills—verbal and written.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Advanced CAD skills with Catia and/or NX.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Engineering
Completed tool and die apprenticeship
Knowledge of welding and assembly systems.
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems using both virtual simulation and physical tooling experience.
Familiarity with Teamcenter, MEDDS, DDP, material databases, and SharePoint.
Strong understanding of how product design, manufacturing processes, tooling standards, and die-process capability align to
meet program objectives.
Hands-on technical background with direct exposure to die tryout, troubleshooting, and panel development
