Job Description

Wildhorse is looking for experienced Pizza Cooks (Pizzaiolo) to fill out their team on a full-time seasonal contract for 3 weeks starting at the end of June. The Pizzaiolo at the Double Zero tent is responsible for several functions including, but not limited to, food preparation, inventory control, and expert time management. The Wildhorse Saloon is your destination for the greatest Stampede Party in Calgary. Located in the heart of downtown, we’ve got daily concerts, western barbecue, Double Zero pizza, a non-stop dance floor, our own outdoor midway, and 20+ bars serving drinks that will knock your boots off!

WHAT WE OFFER

    • Hourly Wage: $21.00 - $23.00 depending on experience

WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Assist with daily kitchen prep, including shredding cheese, making sauces, cutting veggies, etc.
    • Accurately execute food orders, ensuring consistent presentation while following the company’s standards and as directed by the Executive Chef
    • Ensure the highest level of hygiene and food safety is adhered to by all personnel in the preparation and handling of food items
    • Ensure all food products are stored in appropriate containers, labeled, and rotated, to minimize waste, maximize quality, and ensure freshness.
    • Adhere to all policies and guidelines, checklists, prep sheets, and par sheets, as assigned
    • Support the grill station when required.
    • Perform other related ad-hoc duties as required

WHAT YOU HAVE

    • Availability to work the entire 3 weeks is an asset.
    • At least 1 year ofcooking experience required
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to maintaincomposure, professionalism, and ensure coworkers are supported in difficult and stressful situations
    • Ability to fluently communicate verbally in English
    • Food Safe Certification is required
    • The ability to stand for extended periods of time and canlift up to50lbs
