Job Description

POSITION STAGEHAND
REPORTS TO: Union Steward
FACILITIES: Erie Insurance Arena/Warner Theatre

The Stagehand assists in the assembly and disassembly of show productions. He/she assist in loading and unloading of trucks. He/she assembles production equipment on stage and is responsible of construction of set pieces, risers, musical equipment. He/she, if qualified, will operate spotlights during performances. He/she will assist with video, sound and light production before, during and after shows. He/she is responsible to move furniture, road cases and miscellaneous equipment. He/she will perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• The Stagehand must be 18 years of age.
• He/she must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• He/she should have mechanical knowledge and safety awareness.
• He/she must be able to walk, climb, lift fifty pounds and have manual dexterity and motor coordination.
• He/she must pass a security/reference check.
• He/she must be capable of following instructions and work well with others.
