Position Snapshot

• Nestlé Purina Commerciale in Italy, Milan HQ

• Undergraduates or Graduates in Trade Marketing, Marketing, Economics

• Full-time internship (6 months) – We offer a monthly allowance of €900, free access to the company canteen, free access to a partner gym near the office, and a company laptop.

You will have the opportunity to deep dive into Italian Trade reality with special reference to assortment management, data reading, market trends, with the objective to provide a critical interpretation until giving recco’s. You will be exposed to dynamics linked to management and interaction of the 5 P’s, with special focus on placement & presentation and contribute to building Trade selling stories.

You will also understand Petcare product & market segmentation and how to make the category growth work on display guidelines using our internal space allocation software.

You will build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis.

A day in the life of a Trade Marketing – Category Intern

• Manage the team dashboard monitoring KPI’s and providing relevant reports
• Manage customers visits and welcome package to Purina
• Update internal reporting
• Support the Category team for Merchandising activities by coordinating our sell out network and agencies and monitoring the dedicated budget
• Support in analyzing customer assortment and building recco
• Support in managing and tracking investments activities

What will make you successful ?

• Hard skills: good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially in Excel
• Soft skills: emotional intelligence, good ability to interact and communicate at different levels of the organization, curiosity, motivation to succeed, proactivity
• Strong team collaboration skills
• Results-oriented mindset
• Curious and proactive approach
• Fluent in Italian and English

 Our Selection Process

Step 1:

Meeting with HR – Talent Acquisition → Motivational and Attitudinal Assessment

An introductory conversation focused on your motivations, your academic and extracurricular experiences, and your interest in Consumer & Marketplace Insights and the FMCG industry.

Step 2:

Meeting with the Business (Reference Tutor / Line Manager) → Role & Contest deep dive/Business case

With the Manager, you’ll deepen your approach: analytical mindset, shopper understanding, ideas on product placement, assortment rationalization and merchandising. It’s your moment to demonstrate curiosity, vision, and a performance driven mindset.

Step 3:

Feedback

You will receive feedback at the end of the process, regardless of the outcome.
