Verrà progettato un ambiente sperimentale semplificato, basato su due siti e una applicazione client/server.
L’obiettivo sarà confrontare differenti modalità di protezione:
Il laboratorio potrà coinvolgere partner tecnologici quali F5, Cisco, IBM e Nokia/Infinera.
La sperimentazione sarà focalizzata sulla misurazione dell’impatto delle nuove tecnologie sui diversi layer:

L’obiettivo non sarà soltanto misurare le prestazioni assolute, ma soprattutto valutare il delta tra configurazione tradizionale e configurazione quantum-safe.
I risultati verranno organizzati in una struttura dati comune, indipendente dal singolo vendor.
Questo consentirà di confrontare:
Potrà essere previsto il coinvolgimento di un’Università o centro di ricerca per definire una metodologia statisticamente robusta e riutilizzabile.
Una parte del progetto sarà dedicata allo studio di strumenti AI per supportare l’analisi dei risultati.
Possibili use case:
L’AI verrà utilizzata come strumento di analisi e supporto decisionale, mentre le misure tecniche resteranno basate su dati sperimentali.
Nella fase finale verrà costruita una prima metodologia per valutare il livello di preparazione di una infrastruttura rispetto alla transizione Post-Quantum.

L’obiettivo sarà produrre una prima Quantum-Safe Technology Roadmap, utile a identificare quali tecnologie sono già utilizzabili, quali richiedono ulteriori test e quali appartengono a un orizzonte più evolutivo.
