What You Will Do
- Architect and maintain highly reliable, scalable cloud infrastructure that supports real-time AI workloads in healthcare settings.
- Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling to accelerate engineering velocity across the organization.
- Own infrastructure security and compliance considerations, particularly regarding healthcare data and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
- Collaborate closely with machine learning, backend, and product engineering teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with evolving platform needs.
- Establish standards for observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response to maintain production system performance and availability.
- Evaluate and adopt new infrastructure technologies to improve the team's ability to ship and operate software efficiently.
- Contribute to a culture of engineering excellence through code reviews, documentation, and technical mentorship.
Ideal Candidate Background
- Proven experience designing and operating production infrastructure at scale in a cloud-native environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms, particularly Kubernetes.
- Deep understanding of networking, security, and systems reliability principles.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD systems and developer tooling for cross-functional engineering teams.
Preferred
- Prior experience working in a regulated industry, particularly healthcare, with familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach to working across engineering disciplines.
