
The manager of Staffing/Scheduling is responsible for planning, managing, coordinating, and evaluating staffing and analytics within the hospital staffing department. Develops plans and timelines, best practices, provides recommendations and has direct responsibility for daily operations of employee scheduling and staffing. Partners with key operational leaders within the hospital to ensure adequate staffing to meet patient care needs, as well as offer good communication, project implementation and post-implementation support required for progressive staffing and scheduling changes. With various operational leadership and team members, will analyze, review key data metrics, and assess the financial impact to maintain appropriate staffing models. Participates in identification of goals and shared responsibility with leadership teams for process improvements and annual planning. This position will continue to work with all service lines. Responsible for developing initiatives, processes, and staffing models for Surgical Services. Works with Human Resources and leaders to coordinate recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of staff. Oversees staff schedulers and coordinators to align staff and patient care requirements. Role models accountability, initiative, communication skills, teamwork and creative problem solving. This position works directly with the Director of Staffing & Scheduling.
