Job Description

Job Title: Staffing Coordinator
Department: Nursing Admin

Location: SLH - CPH Main
Hours Per Week: Part Time
Schedule: Variable, 6am-2pm or 5am - 1pm


Applies professional administrative knowledge and skill and provides accountable oversight of administration systems, processes, procedures and projects in the service of a business leader, office or service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Staffing/ Scheduling: Coordinates overall staffing for the Patient Care Services Department on a 24-hour basis. Responsible for development of some schedules.

  • Information Administration: Manages information, hard copy and electronically, for staffing/scheduling purposes. Ensures appropriate confidentiality of information is maintained.

  • Customer Service: Provides service excellence to customers through office reception practices, communication management practices, professionally managing customer needs and concerns, anticipating and responding to customer requests or making active referral to the decision-maker who can respond to the customer’s request.

  • Communication: Ensures communication is organized and disseminated to recipients. Responds to telephonic, electronic and hard copy communications.

Required Experience:
Required: Computer experience
Preferred: 2-3 years experience in a healthcare environment

Education Requirements:
Required: High school graduate
Preferred: Associate’s degree in a related field, or two years of business-related college

Complexity of Work: Working under general supervision, takes initiative to apply knowledge of job to set priorities, establish efficient work processes, identify and resolve problems, maximize use of resources to achieve goals and objectives, provide guidance on inquiries within scope of knowledge, authority and expertise using sound judgment, make appropriate referrals to appropriate key decision-makers, successfully meet deadlines, and to manage time effectively in order to achieve multiple concurrent responsibilities. Ability to communicate effectively in a customer service environment as a positive representative of the leaders, the work group, the department and the organization. Has to interact and communicate with a variety of staff members. Needs ability to multi- task.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
