Job Description

Responsible for end-to-end execution of technical projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes for customers. Partners strategically with functional product owners to define feature backlogs and requirements and collaborate with both internal and external technical teams to deliver results on time, within scope and budget, and at the expected level of quality. Ensures project management practices are consistently followed and continuously improved as needed. Works closely with functional owners, technical project teams, and interdependent teams to drive successful execution.

Serves as the Application Governance Leader for Sourcing applications, partnering with service providers to meet operational support and compliance requirements.
This role is part of the IT Sourcing organization, with a primary focus on Supplier Connect (Supplier MDM), VNDLY (contractor management), and related projects, while also evaluating potential AI-enabled solutions.

Essential Responsibilities

Key responsibilities could be:

  • Own overall product and project initiatives for S2P applications.
  • Execute the S2P technology roadmap to support application rationalization, reduce costs, and improve business performance.
  • Ensure compliance with and adherence to SOX controls for applicable systems.
  • Collaborate with business, functional partners, and technology leadership to define and refine requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen, stay current on industry trends, and serve as an internal subject matter expert on the product and competitive landscape.
  • Lead technology discussions and shape strategy aligned with business needs.
  • Define execution plans and delivery approaches based on project scope, timelines, budgets, and available resources.
  • Foster alignment between functional and technical perspectives to support effective delivery.
  • Partner with cross-functional technical teams, often spanning multiple organizations, to coordinate day-to-day execution according to plan.
  • Collaborate with and manage external vendors as needed.
  • Ensure established project management processes and practices are followed, while driving simplification and continuous improvement where appropriate.
  • Support the execution team in resolving roadblocks and managing interdependencies; coordinate with technical and functional teams outside the project to ensure required deliverables are completed.
  • Manage project risks, scope changes, and other non-standard events throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee stakeholder communications and provide regular progress updates.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and align with stakeholder expectations.
  • Track project outcomes, value realization, and customer satisfaction using established metrics and service levels, and ensure lessons learned are documented.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with significant relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and knowledge.
  • Professional background supported by strong experience in technology and business processes.
  • Exposure to industrial businesses is strongly preferred.
  • Experience contributing to full project lifecycles.
  • Experience working with offshore teams, including development and/or application support.
  • Foundational training and understanding of AI and Generative AI concepts.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, assess information and data effectively, anticipate obstacles, develop solutions, and translate strategies into actionable operational plans.
  • Change-oriented mindset, with a track record of driving process improvements, leading change initiatives, addressing challenges creatively, balancing competing priorities, and executing effectively.
  • PMP, ScrumMaster, or other relevant project management certifications preferred.
  • Awareness of ITIL or similar IT service management processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
