General Summary:
Sensors-based technology has a wide range of applications including navigation, gaming, smart user interface, multimedia, virtual reality, and augmented reality.This challenging position offers the opportunity to work with leading edge sensor technologies embedded in smartphones, automotive, IOT, smartwatches as well as other consumer electronics devices.Job activities span the whole product life cycle from early R&D to commercial deployment.The successful candidate will work with systems, software, and integration/test engineers in the QCT sensors group.
Job responsibilities include:
Coding in C andC++, ideally in new modern C++ standards, and unit testing and system testing using modern testing frameworks like Google Test.
Implement sensor signal processing and machine learning algorithms across various embedded SOCs.
Debug, verify, optimize, and tune C code for MATLAB/Python signal processing and machine learning algorithms.Critical to this role is:
proficiency in C
familiarity with Python and MATLAB
the ability to implement MATLAB-coded algorithms in C
familiarity with RTOS and multi-threaded programming environments.
Architecting software frameworks and modules on a variety of cores like CPU, embedded MCU, and GPU.
Making effective engineering tradeoffs between performance, memory, power consumption, and computational complexity.
Creating reports on algorithm evaluation results and delivering complete design and user documentation.
Programming in one interpreted language (Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.).
New technology demonstrations, interfacing with customers and sensor vendors as well as partnering with internal and external teams.
The position is technology focused and involves participation in a broad range of sensors systems engineering activities within the Sensors Technologies group

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits
$167,000.00 - $250,600.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
