Salary & Benefits
This position offers a competitive remuneration package in line with the Medical Practitioners Agreement 2025, including:
➕ $222,789 – $319,701 per annum, pro rata
➕ 12% Superannuation
➕ Access to Salary Packaging and benefits
Salary: The remuneration package for this position, based on classification as a Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 9, starts at $500,000 per annum, with potential for higher earnings in accordance with the current Specialist Medical Practitioner Award (Tasmania) 2025
Note: Access to the Senior Specialist salary range ($309,222 – $319,701) is subject to meeting the eligibility criteria set out in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award 2025.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

Eligibility: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria as
Holds specialist registration; or
Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who is on the specialist pathway; or
Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who has a recognised overseas specialist qualification and is assessed as having sufficient experience in the speciality.
