The Staff Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasounds and other required modalities within individual department(s). Examinations are performed independently, under physician supervision, and with peer collaboration as is appropriate.
The Staff Sonographer also helps to mentor and educate all levels of staff. The Staff Sonographer possesses the applicable credentials to the departmental role. Staff Sonographer fulfills the necessary and applicable time and experience requirements related to the position.
EDUCATION:
Current: high school graduate or equivalent accredited ultrasound program preferred or extensive on-the-job training. Must be certified in applicable skill areas as defined for department.
EXPERIENCE:
One - five years paid scanning experience.
