Staff Software Engineer – Consumer Underwriting Crew

We're looking for an exceptional Staff Software Engineer to join our Consumer Underwriting Crew— a hands-on technology leader who thrives on solving complex engineering challenges, shaping technical strategy and delivering high-quality solutions at scale.

This is an opportunity to influence the architecture of critical lending platforms, mentor talented engineers, and drive the adoption of modern engineering and AI-powered development practices across the crew.

Do work that matters :

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will:

• Lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure and resilient solutions using .NET/.NET Core and AWS.

• Drive architecture and technical design for cloud-native platforms supporting our Consumer Underwriting capabilities.

• Own solutions end-to-end—from design and development through to deployment, production support and continuous improvement.

• Partner with Product Owners, Architects and Engineering Leads to shape technical direction and platform strategy.

• Mentor engineers, raise engineering standards and foster a culture of technical excellence.

• Champion DevSecOps, automation and engineering best practices.

• Leverage AI-powered engineering tools to improve software quality, developer productivity and delivery outcomes.

We're looking for someone who brings:

• Extensive hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using .NET/.NET Core and C#.

• Strong solution architecture and system design capability, with experience building scalable distributed systems.

• Deep knowledge of AWS and cloud-native application development. Experience designing secure APIs, event-driven architectures and highly available enterprise platforms.

• Strong understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and modern software engineering practices.

• Proven experience leading complex technical initiatives and delivering business outcomes end to-end.

• A collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction across multiple teams. Practical experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or similar to accelerate software delivery.
