Staff Software Engineer - Eng, UKG, Inc., Lowell, MA (Hybrid)

Play a key role in engineering across our offerings in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, agile environment. Work with product owners, architects, and engineers to plan, design, develop, test, and implement our AI powered solutions to meet business objectives. Be part of an Agile delivery team, delivering on an agreed release cadence, and driving an ownership culture. Specific duties will include:

• Designing, developing, testing (unit, integration testing, etc.), and deploying product features.
• Performing peer code reviews.
• Monitoring product health and alerts.
• Developing a good functional knowledge of the domain.
• Working autonomously on issues, including in-depth analysis of use cases, data, and other factors.
• Helping your team develop a robust, resilient, secure, quality product and maintaining technical debt to a minimum level.
• Fostering a culture of delivering quality software on time and of continuous process improvement.
• Participating in both strategic and operational planning.
• Mentoring peers and helping them grow their technical skills.

Requirements

Position requires either i) a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field and 6 years of experience as a Software Engineer working with full-stack enterprise-level application development or (ii) a Master’s degree (or equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field, and 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer working with full-stack enterprise-level application development

Must also have 4 years of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with the primary experience requirement above) with the following:

• Expertise with a diverse UI tech stack, including Angular, AngularJS, Webpack, Java Script, TypeScript, NodeJS, React and Java.
• Experience building modular applications using Micro Front Ends/Web components and native cloud applications.
• Expertise in full software development lifecycle, including designing components, leading development projects, estimating task schedules, building system architecture, and collaborating with users to identify and solve problems. Insuring test coverage automation and creating test suites.
• Experience with building responsive, user-friendly, cross-browser, cross-platform and accessibility aware applications.
• Experience gathering requirements, creating requirement documents, and designing test cases to ensure software meets specified needs.

This is a hybrid role working 3 days/week in the company office in Lowell, MA and 2 days/week from a home office.

Salary of $186,160 - $195,468 offered.
