The Opportunity:

The Staff Software Architect plays an important role in designing and supporting software solutions that align with business needs and technical direction. This role contributes to architectural decisions for applications and services, collaborates across development teams, and helps ensure that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with established patterns and practices.

The Software Architect supports planning, communication, and delivery across multiple initiatives while influencing sound technical decisions across teams.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable software solutions, including API-based and cloud-hosted services, aligned with business and technical requirements.

  • Apply software architecture and design concepts, including architectural patterns, to evaluate and propose solutions.

  • Collaborate with software engineering teams, development teams, and DBAs to ensure solutions are practical and effectively implemented.

  • Support the design of service integrations and distributed solutions using APIs, messaging, or event-driven concepts.

  • Participate in planning and scheduling activities while balancing multiple projects and priorities.

  • Communicate architectural recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Influence technical decisions by promoting sound design practices and helping teams align on execution approaches.

  • Contribute to cloud-based solution design, particularly leveraging AWS concepts and best practices.

  • Provide documentation and design guidance to support implementation and maintain alignment across teams.

  • Stay current with evolving technologies, architecture practices, and industry trends.


Qualifications

  • Advanced English level.

  • Demonstrated experience in software engineering and/or software architecture with increasing responsibility in solution design and collaboration.

  • Strong understanding of API-based solutions and service-oriented concepts.

  • Knowledge of software architecture and design, including architectural patterns.

  • Familiarity with cloud hosting concepts, preferably AWS.

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) and their application in software engineering workflows.

  • Exposure to event-driven architecture, including streaming (e.g., Kafka) or messaging solutions (e.g., RabbitMQ, SQS).

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across development teams and disciplines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to influence others through technical expertise and communication.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate-level certification.

  • Experience contributing to project planning, estimation, and scheduling.

  • Familiarity with documenting architectural designs and communicating design with intent across team.
