Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Staff Research Associate (SRA) will work as part of a research team that will develop new expression systems for iPSC-derived neurons. Job duties include molecular cloning, mammalian cell culture, and basic molecular biology and biochemistry techniques (e.g. western blot and flow cytometry). The SRA will also be organizing and maintaining lab operations including stocking shelves, cleaning glassware, and other similar tasks.

Please note, this is a full-time 4-5 month limited position and may convert to career.

Salary range: $28.69 - $34.21/Hourly


Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong background in biology
  • Experience with molecular cloning of constructs for transgene expression in iPSCs
  • High level of scientific and professional integrity
  • Ability to work alone and with a group
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent cooperative working relationship with supervisor and coworkers
  • Ability to keep accurate and organized laboratory records
  • Strong writing abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of iPSC transgene expression
  • Strong quantitative background

Preferred:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience/training.
