The Department of Medicine is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Research Associate 2 to join a research team investigating the mechanisms underlying autoimmune effects of cancer immunotherapies and their relationship to anti-tumor efficacy. This role combines basic science and clinical translational research, supporting studies aimed at improving the safety and effectiveness of emerging immunotherapy treatments.
Responsibilities include performing immunology and molecular biology techniques such as DNA, RNA, and protein isolation, flow cytometry, qRT-PCR and standard PCR, and immunohistochemistry. The position also involves supporting in vivo mouse immunotherapy experiments, including maintenance of genetically engineered mouse colonies, murine tissue dissection, tumor inoculation, and assessment of tumor and autoimmune phenotypes. Additional duties include assisting with laboratory organization and maintenance, with optional opportunities to contribute to clinical research trial recruitment and enrollment.
