Primary Duties and Responsibilities

As a Staff Research Associate 1, you will support laboratory research focused on stem cell metabolism, mitochondrial biology, bioengineering, and B lymphocyte development. This position offers hands-on experience with advanced cellular and molecular biology techniques in a collaborative research environment. Duties include:

•Perform tissue culture to maintain mammalian primary cells, established cell lines, and induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines

•Conduct DNA, RNA, and protein extractions and related assays, including qPCR and Western blotting

•Utilize flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, and microscopy techniques

•Assist with data analysis and interpretation

•Maintain accurate digital laboratory records

•Prepare figures and data for presentations and publications

•Provide general technical and laboratory support as needed

Note: This position is scheduled to start in September 2026.

Salary Range: $28.69/hour - $34.21/hour


Job Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on laboratory experience (e.g. experience with cellular and molecular biology techniques such as tissue culture, DNA/RNA/protein extraction, PCR, and Western blotting)

•Ability to work alternative shifts based on operational needs
