Description
Technical Operations includes the maintenance and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more. Responsible for managing repairs orders for aircraft components in support of mainline aircraft maintenance. Continuously monitors supplier performance with respect to contractual metrics, including turn-time, quality, and cost. Manages repair order release, repair activity, and invoice processing. Serves as the primary vendor-facing contact with repair agencies. Ensure that component repairs are in accordance with appropriate work scope, and all supporting documentation is prepared in accordance with UAL and FAA requirements. Serves as subject-matter expert to support warranty and remedy claims, project planning, and repair bid process.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing repairs orders for aircraft components in support of mainline aircraft maintenance. Manages repair order release, repair activity, and invoice processing
- Continuously monitors supplier performance with respect to contractual metrics, including turn-time, quality, and cost
- Ensure that component repairs are performed in accordance with appropriate work scope, and all supporting documentation is prepared in accordance with UAL and FAA requirements
- Serves as the primary vendor-facing contact with repair agencies/suppliers
- Perform computer transactions to release and manage repair orders at third-party facilities and monitor spare parts ownership and review repair orders and invoices
- Ensure adherence to contractual pricing through price quote and work scope management. Along with Enforce repair supplier performance guarantees, turn times, and quality requirements
- Coordinate scrap transactions and activities and work on component reliability review and corrective action strategies with Engineering
- Work with internal/external customers to support daily operational requirements
- Find repair sources and set up as required and support warranty and remedy claims for repair orders

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or related experience
- Business, Supply Chain, Engineering
- 2+ years of experience
- Basic MS Office, e.g. Excel
- Basic data analysis and spreadsheet skills
- Basic task-management skills
- Strong communications skills (written and verbal)
- Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Have experience working in order management.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Business Relationship Management

- Aviation-related bachelor’s or master’s degree
- Aviation supplier management or production control experience
- Practical experience managing aircraft component repairs.
- Six sigma certification/CSCP/PMP or equivalent certifications
- Advanced MS Office, e.g. VBA
- Aircraft maintenance practices and regulatory requirements
- SCEPTRE, SQL Knowledge
- Advanced analytic skills, e.g. statistical analysis, ROI calculation
- Project management skills / tools, e.g. MS Project
- Utilize AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity) to enhance daily work efficiency.
