Staff Psychiatrist Position at McLean Hospital

McLean Hospital, America’s top-ranked psychiatric hospital, is inviting applications for a staff psychiatrist in the ambulatory care setting.
Who We Serve
McLean’s Adult Ambulatory service includes multiple specialized departments focused on treating individuals 18+ years old presenting with psychiatric conditions ranging from mood and anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, thought disorders, personality disorders and more.
Ambulatory Services
Ambulatory services include individual, family, and group psychotherapy as well as psychopharmacology/medication management. Evidence-based treatment approaches vary depending on department and population. Most referrals to the ambulatory service are first triaged and screened by a team of licensed psychologists and social workers who direct appropriate patients to the department and services indicated. Staff Psychiatrists are responsible for managing a panel of cases for medication management and follow-up and/or combination treatment including medication management and psychotherapy. The ideal candidate for this position has generalist training but could be interested or subspecialized to treat a specific disorder or population of interest.
The Staff Psychiatrist position will combine clinical care and teaching of residents and fellows, with Harvard Medical School appointments.
Qualifications
Salary and recruitment package in accordance with Hospital policies, and a Harvard Medical School appointment at the academic rank of Lecturer, Instructor or Assistant Professor (full or part time) will be contingent on meeting the requirements for an HMS appointment and candidate qualifications including Massachusetts medical license, and being board certified/board eligible.
