At DoorDash, design means making experiences for the people who order, the people who prepare, and the people who deliver.
As a Designer at DoorDash, you want to build things that matter to real people. You're at your best when you can move from idea to shipped product quickly, bringing experiences to life that reach and influence users at massive scale. You'll care about whether the product you make solved a real problem for real people, or changed how someone experiences their day.
SevenRooms is the operating system for hospitality — powering reservations, CRM, marketing, waitlist, and table management for restaurants, hotels, and venues around the world. We are building towards a team of makers, builders, and doers: designers who ship production-quality work themselves, using AI-powered tools to close the gap between design and code.
As a Staff Product Designer, you will operate across SevenRooms' product surfaces rather than own a single fixed team from day one — we will place you where your strengths create the most leverage as our design org grows. Wherever you land, your primary impact is making the team around you faster and more autonomous: you build reusable workflows, shared tools, and decision frameworks that let every designer operate at a higher level with less coordination overhead. Your secondary impact is revenue: the speed and quality gains you unlock translate directly into more experiments shipped, faster iteration cycles, and measurable business outcomes across your team and adjacent teams.
Experience: - Track record of shipping work that drives measurable outcomes at scale across multiple teams - Body of work demonstrating craft excellence, systems thinking, and leadership through influence — shipped features, working prototypes, or open source tools alongside traditional design artifacts - Demonstrated scope: shaped team-level priorities, built tools or systems used by multiple designers, influenced adjacent roadmaps
Skills: - Exceptional visual and interaction design craft — your work sets the standard and inspires others to raise theirs - Build-first fluency — you reach for code editors and LLM-powered tools as naturally as design tools, prototyping in production and contributing meaningfully to the codebase - Product thinking that defines what to build by synthesizing customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints into a clear brief - Systems thinking at scale — you design solutions that work across teams and workflows, and you build the shared tooling that operationalizes them
Mindset: - Builder who multiplies — you don't just ship your own work faster, you build the tools and workflows that make everyone around you faster - Comfort with ambiguity at scale — you navigate unclear problems across multiple teams and create clarity through shipped artifacts, not slide decks
Bonus: - Has already built internal tools, prompt libraries, or workflow automations that other designers use - Track record of mentorship where people you coached advanced their careers and adopted new ways of working - Background in hospitality tech, marketplace products, or other high-growth consumer/B2B platforms
