Our Payments platforms process approximately 40% of Australia's payments, making reliability, resilience, observability, security and operational excellence fundamental to everything we do.
As a Staff Platform Engineer, you will act as a senior technical leader across multiple squads and domains, shaping the platforms, engineering capabilities and operational practices that enable teams to deliver world-class payment experiences safely and at scale.
This role is focused on building and evolving internal engineering platforms, paved roads, automation capabilities and developer tooling that accelerate software delivery, improve developer experience, strengthen platform reliability and drive engineering consistency across the Payments ecosystem.
You will influence engineering strategy, platform architecture, observability, resilience and modern engineering practices while helping teams continuously improve how they build, deploy and operate software.
We use a broad range of tools, technologies and frameworks. We do not expect you to know everything, but experience with some of the following will help you succeed in this role.
NET, Java, Node.js, Next.js, REST APIs, Event-driven architectures, Microservices, Distributed systems
