Staff Platform Engineer

What You Will Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable platform infrastructure that supports AI-driven clinical applications in production environments.
• Define and drive platform architecture decisions with a focus on security, compliance, and performance tailored to healthcare.
• Build and enhance internal developer tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment systems to accelerate engineering velocity.
• Establish best practices for observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response at the platform level.
• Collaborate closely with product engineering teams to ensure platform capabilities meet the demands of real-time clinical AI workflows.
• Lead cross-functional technical initiatives, providing mentorship and technical guidance to engineers across the organization.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 7–10 years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Deep expertise in designing and operating large-scale distributed systems in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong background in container orchestration (Kubernetes) and modern deployment patterns.
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects from scoping and design through delivery and iteration.

Preferred

• Experience working in healthcare technology or with HIPAA-compliant infrastructure.
• Familiarity with EHR integrations or HL7/FHIR standards.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this role ranges from $162K to $260K, with competitive equity offerings. This position provides an opportunity to make a direct impact in the healthcare technology space while working in a hybrid environment.
