First Shift (United States of America)We are seeking a physician in Genitourinary Medical Oncology to guide and grow a high-impact clinical and research program. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of GU oncology care while advancing innovative research that improves outcomes for patients. You’ll work alongside multidisciplinary experts to deliver thoughtful, compassionate care, expand clinical trials, and mentor the next generation of oncology professionals.

What You’ll Do
• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Genitourinary Medical Oncology program
• Recruit, mentor, and support attending physicians and clinical team members
• Collaborate closely with surgical, medical, and multidisciplinary partners to ensure coordinated, high-quality care across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Develop and implement clinical pathways that enhance consistency, quality, and patient experience
• Set the clinical and scientific vision for the division, with a strong emphasis on clinical trials and research growth
• Expand patient access to innovative therapies and increase clinical trial participation
• Contribute to the education and mentorship of fellows, residents, advanced practice providers, and faculty
• Serve on departmental and institutional committees and help shape organizational strategy
• Strengthen collaboration between clinical and laboratory research teams to accelerate translational discovery
• Build partnerships internally and with external institutions to enhance research productivity and visibility
What You’ll Bring
• MD or MD/PhD with significant experience in Genitourinary Medical Oncology
• Academic rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor (or eligibility)
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical and academic environment
• Commitment to multidisciplinary care and patient-centered decision making
• Experience developing or leading clinical research programs
• Passion for mentoring trainees and faculty
Preferred, but not required:
• Track record of NIH funding and publications in high-impact journals
• Experience as a physician-scientist with laboratory research and transferable funding
• History of investigator-initiated clinical research
• Experience with immunotherapy and development of novel treatment approaches
• Interest in elevating national and international visibility in GU oncology

Required Education and Experience
License or Certification Requirement
1. License or permit to practice as a Medical Doctor in the State of New York.
2. Possession of or eligibility for a valid medical specialty certificate in Medical Oncology or a specialty of Hematologic Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Solid Tumor/Investigational Therapeutics, Pulmonary Medicine, and Infectious Diseases.
Education and Experience
Medical Doctor degree and prior full-time experience in the field of Medical Oncology or a specialty of Hematologic Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Solid Tumor/Investigational Therapeutics, Pulmonary Medicine, and Infectious Diseases.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
