The Cedarville University Office of Institutional Research seeks a Director of Institutional Research Services. This is a full-time (2080-hour) exempt staff position.

The Director of Institutional Research Services is responsible for generating and compiling data and developing high-quality reports to enable the University to meet its reporting requirements to government agencies, accreditation, and other reporting organizations, and to inform essential decision-making processes within the University.

The Director compiles data to facilitate the creation of the University Fact Book. This role also provides data and support to conduct targeted, market-related, and action-oriented surveys and research, and assists the University in its efforts to maintain compliance with federal, regional, state, and program-specific accreditation standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in an autonomous environment and consistently deliver high quality results, demonstrating independent and effective problem-solving.

Position Responsibilities:
• Ensure timely and accurate completion and filing of data, major reports and surveys, for both internal and external constituencies, as needed
• Coordinate the Student Evaluation of Faculty process each semester
• Compile essential data and facilitate the creation of the University Fact Book
• Coordinate with representatives of the Office of Assessment and Accreditation Services and assist with development and analysis of statistical reports, as needed, for national, state, and discipline-specific accreditation reporting and review processes
• Coordinate with representatives from academic departments and assist with development and analysis of statistical reports, as needed, for discipline-specific accreditation reviews and reporting
• Generate and analyze data, and develop statistical reports to inform University decision-making for a variety of initiatives including academic program development, program review processes, faculty needs, student success, and retention
• Facilitate set-up, implementation, and analysis of surveys for University constituencies, as needed, for assessment and accreditation purposes
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
• Master’s degree in a field requiring skills in statistics and data manipulation or Bachelor’s degree with minimum of five years of related experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), e-mail, and web-based research. Experience with and understanding of statistical and survey software programs.
• Accomplished in the use of complex database and reporting applications to compile complex data accurately
• Strong analytical, statistical, and math-related skills are required
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
• Previous work experience with programs in higher education preferred
• Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential information in an appropriate manner
• Ability to evaluate, analyze, and interpret data and documentation; and use math and mathematical reasoning to analyze and solve problems
• Ability to evaluate requests for information according to college and government regulations and direct them to the appropriate person for handling
• Understanding of and appreciation for Christian higher education
