Department Overview

General Affairs and Communication Department aim to take actions strategically and flexibly to support further growth of Rakuten Group.

Event Operation (Rakuten Smile Project Group)
Our mission is to encourage smooth communication among employees and enhance engagement, which is necessary for the future growth of Rakuten Group.

Our job is to plan and organize internal events for the employees. We are looking for a person who can think outside the box, is organized, accurate, and flexible when completing tasks.

Position:　

Position Details
- Planning and management of internal events (creation of operation manuals, staff deployment planning, staff training)
- Expense processing
- Designing and ordering event product
- Negotiation and order of external venders
- Collaboration with other internal organizations and domestic /overseas office

- Management of Club
- Creating Club system and rules, and operating it

- Organization : Smile Project Group, Communication Section, General Affairs and Communication Department
- Members : 5

Mandatory Qualifications:

Mandatory Qualifications

- Business level Japanese skill
* High communication skills in both Japanese and English are required, as communication with subcontractors or suppliers is mainly in Japanese
- TOEIC score: Above 800 or equivalent English skill
- Experience in data aggregation and analysis using Excel (not only basic arithmetic operations but also experience with functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables)
- Experience in creating presentation materials using PowerPoint (3 years or more)

Ideal candidate profile

- Maintaining a positive thinking and taking initiative even in rapidly changing environments and situations
- Be always eager to learn, think independently, work diligently, and see tasks through to completion
- Having strong responsibility and hospitality
- Experience in leading projects

Desired Qualifications:

- Native level of English skill
- Experience of organizing or operating events
- Design skill of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
- Experience in using Office 365 for work purposes

TOEIC Score exceeding 800 (or similar level of English ability) or a University Degree earned in an English-speaking country.
