
The Staff Nurse, RN position is a full-time day shift position.The individual will work with an assigned medical provider to provide primary care medical services to eligible students at the University of Tennessee.
Direct Patient Care Duties:
Educates, teaches, and trains patients as needed
Indirect Patient Care Duties:
Required Qualifications
Education: Associate degree and Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing Program
Licensure: State of Tennessee Registered Nurse license
Experience: 3 years’ experience in a hospital or physician’s office and experience working within an electronic medical record/practice management system that is Windows based
Knowledge and abilities:
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree
Experience: Previous experience working within a university student health center. Previous experience working with the Medicat electronic medical records program. Previous experience with dealing with emergency medical situations.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: All previously mentioned items plus the ability to stay calm during a medical emergency. Must have ability and skill to be a team member.
