The Stead Family Children’s Hospital Operating Room is seeking a Staff Nurse to apply nursing theory to the assessment diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patient responses to health and illness, assess patient health care preferences and expectations, and collaboratively coordinate the continuum of care across settings.

The Department of Perioperative Services within the Stead Family Children’s Hospital is responsible for providing services for patients before, during, and after surgery. Our staff is committed to providing quality patient care, compassionate service, and exhibiting UI Health Care ICARE Core values in all we do. Percent of Time: 90 - 100%
Schedule: 8 or 10 hour shifts, primary work hours between 0700-1730 M-F with holiday, off shift, on call and weekend rotation required OR 0900 - 2100, on call, and holiday rotation.
Pay Grade: $55,065 (at 90% effort) to commensurate *This does not include inpatient differential of $10,000 annually. Some shifts scheduled in this position may also be eligible for a shift differential. Shift differentials are further detailed in the UI Health Care SNAHP manual - https://hr.uiowa.edu/pay/pay-plans/seiu-pay-plan - Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign-on incentive up to $10,000 based on years of experience!
