We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Ambulatory Float Pool.This is a full-time position and will work weekdays. Ambulatory Care Float Pool positions require driving to off campus clinics. Must have a valid driver’s license and the availability of an insured vehicle or demonstrate ability to travel to offsite clinics during the work shift within a one-hour timeframe.RESPONSIBILITIESWithin the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing healthTriaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of careAlleviating suffering through the treatment of the human responsePartnering with the patient, their family and significant othersDocumenting interventions and an individualized plan of careEducating patient on their disease processAssuring continuity of careEducating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Qualifications:Graduation from an accredited school of nursingPossession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of MinnesotaMust have a valid driver’s license and the availability of an insured vehicle or demonstrate ability to travel to offsite clinics during the work shift within a one-hour timeframe.
Preferred Qualifications:Certification in area of clinical specialtyBSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
