Workdays: Monday - Friday (Shared on-call responsibilities, after 6 months)

Location: In-Person

Hennepin Healthcare is hiring a Staff Nurse RN (0.9 FTE) for our Kidney Center Clinic in downtown Minneapolis to work day shift. On-call responsibilities are also required (commences 6 months after start date). Transplant certification required within 2 years of hire.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:

  • Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
  • Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
  • Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
  • P artnering with the patient, their family and significant others
  • Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
  • Educating patient on their disease process
  • Assuring continuity of care
  • Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
  • One year of current kidney transplant coordinator experience
  • Kidney transplant certification within two years of start date

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Renal or transplant exeprience preferred

  • Certification in area of clinical specialty (

    Kidney transplant)

  • BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
