The University of Iowa Health Care Otolaryngology (ENT) and Oral Surgery team is looking for Staff Nurses to join a team caring for patients undergoing everything from routine procedures to some of the most complex surgeries in the region. The surgery team performs a wide variety of highly specialized ENT procedures including cochlear implants, acoustic neuroma removals, free flap reconstructions, Inspire implant surgeries, tracheal resections and more. Our oral surgeries include complex reconstructive and corrective surgeries such as alveolar cleft repairs with hip bone grafts, sagittal split osteotomies, and repairs of midface and mandibular fractures and procedures to restore function and improve patients' quality of life.
The Main Operating Room at University of Iowa Health Care features 30 operating rooms dedicated to adult surgical specialties and operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our team is one of six specialized perioperative teams, where Registered Nurses and Surgical Technologists work side by side to deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.

Percent of Time 90-100%
Schedule: Monday through Friday rotating 10- or 12-hour shifts. Scheduled weekends, additional on-call shifts, and rotating holidays.
Location: University Campus
Salary: $61,183 (at 100% effort) to commensurate *this does not include inpatient or shift differential
Pay Differentials: Shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Inpatient differentials up to $10,000 per year
OR Premium Pay: Up to $10,000 at (100% effort).
